If you find that your battery will no longer charge (the LED on the charger stays green when plugged in) - it may have just 'gone to sleep'.
Here at Electric Maxx, we can save you money by "waking-up" your original battery pack.
Once "woken-up" your battery will under go testing to make sure that the pack charges and discharges correctly.

Once finished your pack will be wrapped back up and securely shipped back to you to.

Tecnical Description
Most Li-ion battery packs contain a protection circuit (BMS) that protects the battery against abuse.
This important safeguard also turns the battery off and makes it unusable if over-discharged.
Slipping into sleep mode can happen when storing a Li-ion pack in a discharged state for any length of time as self-discharge would gradually deplete the remaining charge.
Depending on the manufacturer, the protection circuit of a Li-ion cuts off
between 2.2 and 2.9V/cell.
During testing we will check the pack capacity (Ah).
This is useful to know as it is an indication of the health of the battery pack and how long it will last compared to purchasing a brand new one.
Any issues during this testing we will let you know.

How it works?
1) Purchase the battery recovery service and we will send you a pre-paid postage label.
Once we receive the item, we will recover it and ship it back to you.

2) You can bring the battery pack to us in person at our shop in Leeds (click here for directions).

3) If you want to ship the entire item to us, sure, please click here to book our Collect & Inspect repair service instead.


(Please note: Even though we have a high sucess rate of recovering battery packs, not all can be recovered (due to dead/un-stable cells, bms failures, water damage etc)
If this is the case, we can offer a discount on a brand new battery pack).
Once recovered a payment of  £8.49 is required for the return postage back to you.

Repair Terms & Conditions / Expectations Of Electric Maxx Customers

 

  • Ensuring you supply the correct contact details is your responsibility.

 

Failure to provide the correct contact details will hinder us in our attempts to contact you and will hence forth make it more likely we will be able to arrange the safe return or collection of your item.

 

  • You need to let us know if you wish to proceed with the work

 

Upon completion of the initial inspection (around 2 weeks after we receive the item) we will contact you via email, phone call and sometimes text message to inform you of your item being diagnosed. We will send you an estimate which will arrive via email into your inbox or junk folder. We expect most customers will let us know immediately if they wish to proceed or not. If you do not return our contact, we will attempt to contact you weekly from this point. If you do not confirm your plan within 21 days of us sending you the estimate we will absorb your item for parts or resale. Your item will be utilised to recover costs incurred by Electric Maxx, it will no longer be retrievable.

 

  • If you decline your repair, you have 14 days to pay for your item to be returned

 

We will attempt to contact you frequently from this point if you are uncontactable. Special dispensation can be agreed with management at the point of decline, if you need it, such as if you are away from the country for 2 weeks. If you fail to liaise with us as to why it is beyond 2 weeks we will attempt to contact you until 21 days, if you still haven’t contacted us at this point with a concrete reason or plan that is agreed by management, we will absorb your item for parts or resale. Your item will be utilised to recover costs incurred by Electric Maxx, it will no longer be retrievable.

 

  • When your item is repaired, you have 14 days to pay for your item and return shipping.
